Cue violins
With all that’s been going on in the world, I find it hard as an artist to not want to shutdown and avoid participating in the ambient noise. It’s definitely part of the reason why it took me so long so to get back into music after the pandemic (it’s February 2023, I’m being optimistic in my use of the word after).
Going out to see shows and get back in touch with the scene gave me a sense of how this struggle affected an entire community but it also really helped me remember why I’m here in New York in the first place. It inspired me to keep being a part of it and try to contribute in my own way, in a positive and hopefully inspiring way as well.
Anyway – I have a new band. And it’s a killer one you guys. I’m super excited about this music, like I haven’t been in many years. We have a show at Ibeam on March 5 at 7:30pm and it would mean a lot to me if you could join us for this special occasion. We’re going to explore older standards in a wild and intimate way and joyfully contribute to the ambient noise.
